SQUARE ENIX 宣布，將於明年 1 月推出跨 NDS / Wii 平台的動作角色扮演遊戲《FF 水晶編年史：時間的共鳴（Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time）》，讓玩家透過網路體驗跨家用與掌上型平台一同冒險的樂趣。《FF 水晶編年史：時間的共鳴》是《FF 水晶編年史：命運之環》的續作，也是首款支援跨 NDS / Wii 多人連線同樂的遊戲，玩家可透過 NDS 的無線遊玩或是 NDS / Wii 的 Wi-Fi 連線，來進行跨越平台與空間限制的 4 人同樂。兩版本將收錄相同的內容，NDS 版採用雙螢幕顯示與觸控筆操作，Wii 版採用雙畫面左右並列顯示與 Wii 遙控器光學指標操作，提供相同的操作感受與遊戲樂趣。遊玩時玩家可隨自己喜好隨時切換單人模式與多人模式，以適合自己的步調來體驗冒險的樂趣。
SQUARE ENIX announced that Jan 2009 will release the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time. This is the second episode of the FF Crystal Chronicles series and also the first time can cross over NDS/Wii thru internet for multiplayer, player can use the NDS and Wii's wifi to link up to play up to 4 player. The 2 version will have the same content, NDS will use the touch screen to play, and Wii will use left and right parallel display and use Wii control it. Player can always change from single to multiplayer mode.
